Dye Starter Kit for Yarn Dyeing with Fiber Reactive Dye

This starter kit contains all the materials you need to get started with dyeing plant fiber yarn - without the hassle and expense.

With this kit you get protective equipment, dye powder and yarn in an amount that gives you plenty of opportunity to experiment and find your favorite colors. The dye powder is very generous in use, and the amount in this kit is equivalent to being able to dye 20 100g skeins of yarn (2kg yarn ) – perfect for both small and large projects.

The Color Starter Kit contains:

• A pair of safety glasses
• 6 pairs of disposable gloves (size M)
• 1x dust mask
• 2.5 dl Salt
• 2 dl Soda
• A printed color guide
• 10 bags of 4g dye powder – enough for approx. 2kg of yarn depending on dyeing method and intensity.
• Yarn - cotton or tencel.

The yarn in the starter kit:
The starter kit includes yarn so you are ready to get started. You can choose from:

• Tencel Lace - an exciting yarn quality spun from wood fibers and which has a running length of 667m per 100g
• Cotton Lace - A thin versatile yarn quality, with a running length of 667m per 100g.
• Cotton 4ply - Cotton yarn in fingering thickness, which fits most things and has a running length of 340m per 100g.

The colors in the starter kit:
The colors in the kit are the 8 primary colors as standard, which in addition to being beautiful, also allow you to mix a multitude of shades. If you have specific color requests, you can write them as a comment to your order, and I will do my best to accommodate them - however, some colors may be sold out at times.

Other relevant:
In addition to the materials provided, I recommend that you have a few old forks and spoons, as well as some plastic wrap/bags to wrap the yarn in while it absorbs dye. Make sure that the equipment that comes into direct contact with the dye powder is not used for cooking afterwards.
